When and why were BMJ Masterclasses launched?
BMJ Masterclasses were launched in February 2006 with Cardiology and Respiratory Medicine courses for hospital doctors. The first BMJ Masterclass for general practitioners launched in September 2006. Since then, BMJ Masterclasses have grown to cover a range of topics, with events taking place in many locations across the United Kingdom. BMJ Masterclasses is now one of the leading providers of educational events for doctors in the UK, with 1 in 5 GPs having attended a BMJ Masterclass.
