When and where will Wireless Local Number Portability (WLNP) be available?
WLNP became available to wireless customers on November 24, 2003 in the top 102 major markets (most major cities) in the U.S. As of May 24, 2004, all other markets have WLNP available. • Is there a charge for me to bring my phone number to Nextel? No. Once the number has been approved for transfer, the old number and account will automatically be deactivated.
