The revised Part 35 has deleted most survey requirements that were previously specifically required. For example, 10 CFR § 35.70 no longer requires daily surveys of all areas where radiopharmaceuticals are routinely prepared for use or administered, weekly surveys of radiopharmaceutical storage or radiopharmaceutical waste storage areas, or weekly surveys for removable contamination. Also, the revised 10 CFR § 35.315 deletes the requirement to survey the radiopharmaceutical therapy patient’s room and private sanitary facility for removable contamination before assigning another patient to the room. Some survey requirements have been retained in the revised Part 35. For example, a) revised 10 CFR § 35.70 does require surveys at the end of each day in areas where unsealed byproduct material requiring a written directive is prepared for use or administered; b) 10 CFR 35.315 requires either monitoring material and items removed from the patient’s room or handling the material and items as
