When an eGC1 is finalized and submitted for online approval, what happens next?
A Preparer must print the Routing Sheet and distribute paper packets of the Routing Sheet + grant/contract application to all campus approvers (standard instructions are listed on the Routing Sheet). The routing process is displayed online in the Approval Flow section. If your local business process is different from this, please follow the local process PIs will be notified by email when an application is waiting for their approval. The email will contain a link (URL) directly to the Approval Workflow graph of the given eGC1. From this page the PI can approve or view additional online data. As the PI and unit reviewers “approve” the eGC1, the box on the chart will turn green, the status is updated to “Approved” and the name of the person is listed. View the History & Comments to see a list of the action steps that were taken on this application and read the comments left by Preparers and Reviewers.
