When an annoucement with Javascript is sent out in the C4L site, it is fine, but in the updates it is all jumbled up. Is there anything you can do to keep the formatting?

Not in this case. Javascript tags are a security hazard. People can insert all kinds of malicious code. So we have to bugger the Javascript tags. But it isn’t easy to parse them out either–if the closing tag is not present, it could erase the whole rest of the announcement. The best thing to do is to edit the announcement to remove the Javascript tags. If they don’t show up, delete the text characters surrounding the spot where it’d go and then type them back in. That should remove the script tag.
