When a user adds channels to his or her layout, do all existing channels appear in the selection list, or only the ones available to the user s role(s)?
When a new channel is created, the channel creator must specify which users, by role, may access the channel. When a user is in the process of adding channels to his / her layout, only channels that are associated with that users roles will be displayed in the selection list. Likewise, the layout owner may only add channels to the default layout that are available to that layout owner (for instance, a Student layout owner will not have access to channels tied to Faculty roles).
