No. An RF connection using the antenna/cable input is the easiest and fastest connection between the cable or satellite box and your TV. That’s why it is favored by installers. But it is far from the best output/input combination to use for picture quality. This alternative is only necessary to accommodate older sets with limited inputs. Unless your TV is really old, it should have a composite video input. Your cable or satellite box should have the composite output. But even composite is not the best-quality connection – see FAQ J-3.
