Well she’s wrong. She might be a good breeder but she’s certainly not a pet nutritionist. Royal Canin Persian is not even that great of a food. Better than anything you’d buy at the grocery – but it’s still a food with grain in it. Cats are carnivores so it’s far healthier to feed them a food with meat as the main ingredient and with little to no grain. I do feed my Persian Royal Canin Persian because it has a built-in hairball remedy but it’s in a mix of that, Innova Evo and either Blue Buffalo Wilderness or Petcurean Go! Natural. All those foods are grain free and 50% protein. She’s also wrong about just dry – that’s very unhealthy. You should be feeding your cat canned food daily as well – and quality brands – Innova Evo, Merricks, Tiki Cat, etc. If you can buy it at your grocery store or it’s in that crap aisle at Petco/PetSmart with 9lives – not what you should be feeding.
