We did the reverse in December and were on the Port side of the ship. We figured that since most of our ports were on the left side (New Zealand) and we always have a balcony, it would be the best. My DH always takes pictures arriving and departing every port so we really make good use of our balcony. Also, going through Fjordland Natl. Park, it makes no difference which side you are on. Enjoy!
