Whats wrong with torturing terrorists?
You consider it acceptable to torture people you say are terrorists, but may be completely innocent civilians. Even if the person was an “armed combatant”, it is still wrong to torture. I am sure you would complain if the “enemy” tortured a US citizen (civilian or military) calling him a terrorist. Therefore you would be a hypocrite. What one person calls a “Terrorist”, another person may call a “freedom fighter”. 1) The “Militiamen” of the US war of independence were called “terrorists” by the British, but are heroes to Americans. 2) The “Partisans” in France, Belgium, Yugoslavia and elsewhere during WW-2 were called “terrorists” by the Germans, but “freedom fighters” by the allies. 3) The Viet Minh and its military arm, the Peoples Army of Vietnam (PAV) were called “terrorists” by the Japanese but were allies of the US (they were trained and armed by the OSS, the forerunner of the CIA). Later those same allies of the US became ‘terrorists” to the French and later the US. 4) The “Palm
