Whats wrong with the Colorado Rockies this year?
The 2007 Colorado Rockies were an average team that got hot at the most opportune time and made the most of it. Their improbablt journey was facilitated by late-season crashes by the New York Mets and San Diego Padres. It’s true that they’ve brought back the same core players so it should come as no surprise that the team isn’t a real contender. Tulowitzki wasn’t hitting close to his weight before going on the DL and Manny Corpas has been a huge bust. These were the team’s 2 key offseason signings. Jeff Francis has failed to take his game to the next level. Tood Helton continues to decline and the team has no 2B after losing Kaz Matsui. Jiminez has failed to live up to the hype and the rest of the staff is mediocre. The only player who has met expectations is Matt Holliday. One man teams don’t generally win in MLB.
