Yes, green spotted puffers will need a brackish tank, but that’s as they get older. And, I seriously doubt walmart had it in a brackish set up, so don’t throw him in a brackish set up without slowly adjusting him to it. And ditto the other response, don’t buy walmart fish….To do a brackish set up, you need to use marine salt, not aquarium salt or any other salt, only marine salt.
