Whats wrong with having a Surrogate Mother?

0

I think everyone feels a little differently on this one. If I were unable to carry the baby to term myself, then I would consider a surrogate, but otherwise I would want to be the one to do it. Those 9 months are a precious time of bonding and care (underneath all the sickness) and I wouldn’t really want someone else having that – as much as I complain about being pregnant! If someone else did it, could you really trust that they were providing the best for your child? Would they keep a good diet and not smoke, drink etc throughout, knowing that the child isn’t theirs to keep? What if your child grew to have asthma, or an allergy, or some other problem – wouldn’t you have it in the back of your mind that it could be because of the surrogate and what she did/ate/drank during pregnancy? At least if you do it, you know that you are doing the best you can personally do for your baby. Interesting question though, I’m looking forward to seeing the other answers…
