Whats wrong with buying a rebuilt engine?

0

A rebuilt engine is a step in the right direction, but it is most often only a halfway solution. A rebuilt engine may have had damaged or worn parts changed, but other essential components may remain in “not new” condition. Even rebuilt engines with new bearings, rings, valves, and seals retain many older components, leading to shorter life expectancies for rebuilt engines.

Personally, I don’t find anything wrong in buying a rebuilt engine, especially when it is from a reliable source and comes with warranty. Few months ago, I bought a rebuilt engine for my Accord from
Auto parts Fair
and it came with 7 years warranty. I am glad that I saved my thousands of bucks. And let me tell you, my car is running perfectly.
