Whats wrong God being vengeful?
The vengeful for an all powerful understanding omnipotent beign that already knows what is going to happen. My problem is not the vengefulness…my problem is the idea that this god, according to the bible, has issues with any people that do not beleive in him…but instead of giving them the opportunity to convert, he is right there with David and Joshua, etc etc killing millions of people, including innocent women and children…except for the virgin…they are fine to keep alive. Reading the bible one surely cannot dismiss the idea that this god was created so that they had their own god with them in battle to defeat the other armies who were touting their own deities. At a time when it was kill or be killed…if the enemy had a god on their side, it just makes sense that you should have a god on your side, doesnt it?
