Whats worse for the environment, using normal batteries, rechargeable or mains electricity?

Rechargeable are the best for the environment. Anything that has to do with nuclear is always horrible for the environment because it creates hazardous wastes that have to be stored in barrels for hundreds of years and they usually end up contamination water or other resources. Also, the burning of fossil fuels produces CO2 which is a greenhouse gas!!!! Regular batteries are thrown out more frequently and end up in landfills which often leach chemicals into groundwater or produce air pollution by the production of methane. Also, like you said, their production causes air pollution and use of our resources. For all of there reasons, rechargeable batteries are the BEST. I would say regular batteries are the worst.
