Whats with the names of the Gundams in Gundam Wing?

Thanks to Bandai’s model kits, there’s a lot of confusion about the names of the Gundams in this series. The names they say in the show are the actual names. There is no such thing as Wing Zero Custom, Heavyarms Custom, Serpent Custom, etc. The ‘custom’ label was devised by Bandai to distinguish the new Endless Waltz models from the ones based on the TV show.
