Whats with the Cheshire Cat and Who is Whitey Whitemen?
The Cheshire Cat is a lovable little character we used a great deal during play testing. In our game world we use him as the logo of the Renegade Wizards and eventually the Grey Guild Wizards. Essentially he is a marker used by the Wizards to denote they are non-hostile. We use him because he is fun to draw and is a memorable figure. Whitey or various versions of his full name Whitey Whitemen the White was a Player Character of original author Art Labs and has sense become one of the favored NPC’s of the play testers. The character is a Wizard who is dedicated his life to the pursuit of the idea that every life is valuable even if he does it in a haphazard and nonsensical way. Many of the major spell ideas for the 1246 spell book are attributed to him and periodical running jokes have been maintained about the character for about 7 years of play testing.
