Whats with the CD-ROM I kept hearing about?

The Starshield CD-ROM was the proposed initial form of distribution for the EPG and RPG. It was slated for availability in the online store (Starstore). Alongside the EPG and the RPG, the first novel was to be included on the CD as well (both the hardcover and paperback versions). Also, Internet Explorer 4.0, the Adobe Acrobat Reader, and possibly even a freeware version of the Palace Software were planned to be packaged alongside them. However, problems with burning the huge amounts of CDs slowed things down, and there is no definite plan to continue the burning process. With two moves (to WebRPG and then Golden Hydra Industries) since then, the CD idea has been discarded fir the time being.
