Whats with all the single-letter nicknames?
Part of the framework of IAT is fan-fiction for one of the deepest, darkest corners of the web, an anonymous image board community known as 4chan. (Warning: Here be dragons, bile, obscenity, pornography, misanthropy, thought-cancers, invasive memes, recreational diseases, material considered contraband on most civilized planets, and the occasional very clever and funny moment.) Each sub-board of 4chan has its own letter (or letter combo, thanks to recent expansion), the weirdest of which is /d/, and the most infamous of which is /b/. The core personality traits of each character with a single-letter nickname are inspired by the content of that letter’s respective sub-board.
