Whats with all the bleeping on the Maury Povich show?
I don’t watch Maury or his ilk, but I learned this from listening to The Cooper Lawrence Show (radio program) yesterday about the Tyra Banks show (and this practice is probably done at other shows.) The producers take time before or after the show to tape the audience reaction to “fake scenarios”. They will be asked to cheer as if Tyra just walked on stage, gasp as if they just heard something amazing, cheer for something, clap quietly and politely, etc. They film this and cut the scenes into the final show. It could be that Maury’s producers put the beeps in so you think everyone is swearing. (And thus lowering the bar of acceptable behavior.
