Whats “Visit Winston-Salem?
” In our ongoing efforts to communicate clearly with our customers, industry partners, and local citizens, we asked the marketing committee of the Forsyth County TDA to consider adopting a new “identifier” for our organization. Convention and visitor bureaus worldwide are contemplating the same issue resulting in a trend toward changing organization names, or otherwise changing how CVB’s present themselves to their various audiences. In other words, the goal is to simplify and clarify our mission and our identity so that we are better understood as an organization. A CVB manages and markets a destination, yet the old moniker (CVB) is confusing to many people. We are often confused with the convention center or mistakenly thought of as a city or government agency, neither of which is the case. Recommended by the TDA marketing committee and adopted by the FCTDA, the name Visit Winston-Salem will now be used throughout the bureau in an effort to brand the new name. Callers to the organiza
