What’s upstairs at Hy-Vee?
Several of you have asked me if I knew what was on the second floor of the new Hy-Vee Store in Owatonna. I didn’t know, so I called manager Max Daines and got the answer. Besides offices for the store management and a break room for employees, there is also a club room where meetings can be held. The room is available for use by the general public by just calling the store and making reservations. In the future you will see some store-sponsored cooking schools and educational and nutritional classes being held in this room. Gas station back on Hy-Vee drawing board Daines also told me that as of now, the building of a gas station at the new Hy-Vee store is now back in the plan. It had been tabled, but now plans are to go ahead with the construction. Entry will be off of Cedar Street. Eagles shine at district convention The Owatonna Eagles Aerie can be proud of their accomplishments at the recent district convention in Austin. John Schlichter was named the District 5 “Eagle of the Year”
