BB: Yeah, but those little guys want to come down into the box and try to be tough, so you have to show them that they are not. (Laughs.) PFW: When did you first start to feel the effects of thyroiditis? BB: I think I was feeling the effects of it during the Northern Iowa game. I was underweight about 10-11 pounds, and just from a stamina standpoint, I just wasn’t where I wanted to be. I thought that was a little bit strange, considering I just went through a three-week camp. So I think that first week I was really affected by it. PFW: Other than not being able to play for three weeks, was there another side effect that was the worst thing for you? BB: Diet-wise, I wouldn’t say I was so upset because I was able to eat any junk food and I was just able to burn it off right away because my metabolism was so high.
