Whats up with Peter Arnett?
He’s been fired by NBC according to Bob. Here’s one story: NBC Severs Ties With Journalist Arnett Austin American Statesman, TX NEW YORK (AP)–NBC fired journalist Peter Arnett on Monday, saying it was wrong for him to give an interview with state-run Iraqi TV saying that the American-led coalition’s first war plan had failed because of Iraq’s resistance. Arnett himself called the interview a “misjudgment.” Sam and Bob played an interview with Arnett that may have been streamed from the Internet, he was obviously embarrassed and disappointed about his 15 minute mishap that ended a 40 year career as a war reporter. Matt Lauer said he respected the work he had done, others are saying he’s a “traitor”. “He’s coming back to the States to emcee Dixie Chicks concerts”, said Cole.
