Whats Up at the Detroit Auto Show?
What’s Up at the Detroit Auto Show? Monday January 1, 2007 This time next week I’ll be in Detroit for the North American International Auto Show. It’ll be my third time there and I’m beginning to get a better feel for the best ways to manage my time in order to see everything on my (long) to-do list. There are always surprises, but this year looks like it will mostly be a car and crossover event. One big truck intro to watch for is the Sunday debut of Toyota’s CrewMax Tundra. And it’s already been released, but the new Silverado truck should be there too — and I suppose its GMC counterpart, the Sierra. If you’re not sure what the NAIAS is all about, take a glance back at its roots and a look forward at the show’s importance to today’s auto industry. Images from the 2006 Show •
