The Tarkine region is made up of 380,000 hectares of raw wilderness, far from the beaten tourist trail. This vast natural landscape provides a Tasmanian experience unlike any other. People who travel here are immersed in diverse and pristine ecosystems, unchanged for thousands, even millions, of years. Ancient rainforests, dramatic mountain ranges and stunning coastal scenery roll on as far as the eye can see. Abundant, pure water gushes from myriad rivers through rainforest, over wild coastlines and into the Southern Ocean.
