Whats this whole golden triangle thing in Perth?

When people refer to the ‘golden triangle’, they are usually referring to Perth’s inner Western suburbs. I think (though I’m not entirely sure) the golden triangle includes mostly the suburbs on the Fremantle train line Subiaco, Claremont, Dalkeith, Peppermint Grove, Mosman Park, Cottesloe, Swanbourne and I think also North Fremantle and Shenton Park. These areas are considered to house the majority of Perth’s higher paid, higher socio-economic classes, as well as numerous private schools and shopping high streets etc. Also home to a lot of people who have never even heard of nor been anywhere South of the river! I am 18, recently graduated from a private school and have lived in the ‘golden triangle’ my entire life. I wouldn’t say the people here are ‘snobby’ in that they are mean or rude to people of lower classes or people south of the river, but I guess they don’t understand them and haven’t had much experience with them.
