Whats there to do in the Lansing, Michigan area in late-May?
I’m guessing your convention is at the Lansing Center, downtown? If so, that’s good as there are several interesting things in that area. I live about 45 minutes from Lansing, so I’m pretty familiar with the area. Right downtown is the State Capital. If you are interested in decorative art, you may want to visit the capital. It was restored awhile back with really beautiful faux finishes and other decorative touches making it a beautiful Victorian masterpiece. It has a beautiful interior dome area that makes for impressive photos. Lots of historical features to be seen there. A few blocks behind the capital is the Michigan Historical Museum and State Library. There is free internet access at the library if you need it! The museum is really nice, and features many important Michigan artifacts–a copper mine, a lighthouse, forests, Ted Nugents antelope loincloth (huh???), Motown area, etc. Very interesting–I just went there a few weeks ago myself and really enjoyed it. “Experience Michi
