Your best bet would be to sell (or donate) most of your winter clothes and buy new ones when you move down to the Atlanta area. Most clothing stores and department stores (Wal-Mart, Target) sell what is more suitable for winters in Georgia. Winters in Georgia are usually mild in comparison to winters up in Iceland or other northern regions. The highs usually get into the upper 30s/lower 40s (F), and the lows usually average in the low 30s/upper 20s. In some cases it will be warmer, in other cases it might get colder.
