Whats the trick to doing so many events on one weekend?
I think that a big part of it is the mental challenge. I have to prepare my head for the long haul, get a good amount of rest leading up to the trip there, watch what I eat after the 5-K and 10-K events, and have a soak in the tub and just relax. What’s your strategy for the weekend? The 5-K and 10-K start and finish pretty close according to the map. The Pump N’ Run is on Friday, and I have been doing extra practice lifting at the gym so hopefully I won’t embarrass myself too much! Then it’s marathon Sunday! I’m not a fast runner—just a consistent one—so I’ll judge my pace based on how I’m feeling. I imagine that I’ll run the 5-K at a strong pace, then take a more laid-back pace for the 10-K. I’ll take a walk/run approach to the marathon. What’s your idea of a rave run?
