The Wabash & Erie Canal Towpath Trail (“Towpath Trail”) is a key regional link between western and eastern Allen County. Following the historic Wabash & Erie Canal for much of its alignment, the Towpath will connect Southwest Allen County with Downtown, New Haven, and the entire regional Fort Wayne Trails network. Currently, the Towpath Trail is planned and partly funded beginning at the Lutheran Hospital entrance on Jefferson Blvd. and traveling northeast for 5.5 miles to Rockhill Park, where it joins the existing Rivergreenway.
