Whats the tennis instruction like in camp?
• We start each camp with a warm-up and stretch, take attendance, and break up into groups by age and ability level. We will then do lots of fun movement and coordination skill development depending on the skill level of the campers. Older kids may learn footwork elements; younger kids may work on tossing and catching balls, for example. • The campers will then hit tons of tennis balls and get plenty of instruction in technique from our camp staff. We use the games approach which means that we blend our instructional elements into fun games that the kids love like Skeleton, King Arthur, The Line Game, The Catching and Throwing Game, etc. We use a lot of relays, contests, and team games to keep the kids fired up about tennis. • We are proud to be big supporters of the USTAs new Quick Start Tennis program for kids 10 and under. This program uses modified tennis ballsfoam and reduced pressureto speed up the learning process and give younger kids the chance to play tennis sooner. Quick Sta
