What’s the strangest thing you’ve eaten on holiday?
Over in Kenya I spent one day looking at all the fantastic animals out there and then spent the next day actually eating them, including zebra, which was pretty mind blowing. It really wasn’t my idea of fun. What were your favourite moments presenting TV programmes like Wish You Were Here? The fantastic thing was getting to visit such a range of holiday destinations. It is incredible when you go to places like India and you’re standing in front of the Taj Mahal, you can’t quite believe that you’re there. And also getting to meet people from different cultures, and beginning to get an idea of what an amazing world it is. For me any travel experience enabled me to get a real insight into the world and the way it works. Were there any bad experiences? The worst thing is that people are fascinated by TV, and it was amazing when you were in the middle of trying to talk to camera, the number of people who would come and pinch your bottom or try and put you off.
