Whats the strangest thing thats happened to you in a business or client/agency relationship?
AF: ‘Aussie’ John Symond burst into the focus group room (he was watching from behind the mirror) and said to a consumer who had been very negative towards Aussie Home Loans (as it was at the time) ‘I’m going to slash your tyres’. I still laugh thinking about it. JP: The kind of work we do means we can find ourselves travel¬ling with our clients in different countries. During my last trip to Korea I was held for questioning at customs, they thought I was smuggling drugs into the country. I knew it was going from bad to worse when they asked me what I did for living and I said market research – they thought I said ‘massage’. It went downhill from there. JC: As Brendan Woolcock mentioned in the May edition of Re¬search News – I’m forbidden to talk about it too – but it has to do with a certain researcher and his phobia of ‘carnie folk’. VG: Not sure I can share the strangest moments – but funny ones include a participant, unasked, launching into a detailed description of his porn collect
