What’s the status of the Rector Search?
The Rector Search Committee has worked very hard over the summer. I hear that they all have each other on speed dial, and some of their spouses and partners no longer recognize them. They narrowed the search to two people who visited Durham. Now the Committee has come to the point of making a decision, which they will present to the Vestry. There will be a meeting today (at an undisclosed location), for the Search Committee to tell the Vestry what their choice is, and why they think that person is the right person for St. Philip’s. The Vestry will have a chance to “get to know” the person in more detail from reading the information submitted, and hearing what the Search Committee learned about the candidate.
