Whats the status of pthreads on SGI machines?

A: POSIX thread support in IRIX is more than a rumor – pthreads are currently scheduled to be available shortly after release of IRIX 6.2 (IRIX 6.2 is currently scheduled for release in Feb 96). If you are interested in obtaining pthreads under IRIX as soon as possible, I would recommend contacting your local SGI office.
