Whats the status of BRMC?
The state Health Commissioner has awarded a Certificate of Public Need for BRMC to be built in Ashburn, and has confirmed that award twice in response to legal challenges by Inova Loudoun Hospital Center (ILHC). Despite that, Inova insists on pursuing its legal challenge of the Broadlands project and our properly awarded COPN. In the meantime, we continue to seek zoning approval for the hospital from the county. Reluctantly and as a last resort, we are pursuing our zoning request through the courts. Broadlands Regional Medical Center History and Status In 2001, the Loudoun Board of Supervisors encouraged HCA to build a hospital in the county. After meeting with county officials, HCA Virginia responded by developing plans to build 164-bed Broadlands Regional Medical Center in Ashburn at the intersection of Dulles Greenway and Belmont Ridge Road.
