Whats the statue we can see on the EP cover?
“Angel of Grief” Monument After the 1894 original by William Wetmore Story (1819-1895), in the Protestant Cemetery, Rome. From her delicate wings and arms to the tendrils at the nape of her neck, the detail of this exclusive designer resin Victorian angel is amazing. Inspired by the monument American poet and sculptor William Wetmore Story did as homage to his wife Emelyn, our estate version has raised lettering with a message that will remind you to celebrate life. The inscription reads: “The bud was spread to show the rose our Saviour smiled the bud was closed. Anon” Some replicas of W. W. Story’s “Angel of Grief,” the original of which is located in the Protestant Cemetery in Rome, are located at Colma’s Cypress Lawn Cemetery, on the Stanford University campus near the Stanford family mausoleum, commissioned by Jane Stanford from sculptor Antonio Bernieri as a tribute to her brother in 1901 and again in 1908 after the first one was destroyed in the 1906 earthquake.
