Whats the significant purpose of Easter?
I was talking about this yesterday for a children’s message at my church. During the message I held up an empty egg, and asked the kids what Easter was. Some said that it was about the Easter Bunny, and others said it was the day that Christ rose from the dead. I asked them what was day the Friday was before easter and they said Good Friday, I asked them what does that day mean. Their answer When Christ was crucified. I than told them about the egg. On how it represents the tomb Christ was placed in on Good Friday, and when it is opened it means Christ has risen. The children though that chicks came out of the eggs. I said yes, but the chicks also have a meaning. It is the rebirth of Christ. And each time you give someone an egg on Easter you are spreading the Word of God. I guess what I am trying to say is that the Significant Purpose of Easter is to Celebrate the Resurrection of Christ, and the rebirth of the Christian faith.
