Whats the secret to getting hired at Fastenal Company?
Being able to convey the difference between management and leadership, and a thorough understanding of ethical actions and considerations was one of the key factors to being hired at Fastenal. It was also necessary to demonstrate a firm understanding of financial decisions and the ability to responsibly make cost effective financial decisions with little or no supervision, but using a set of guidelines set in place by Fastenal instead. I also had to demonstrate on my ability to create and implement a business plan to: maintain and increase customer base/relations, grow sales, keep external costs to a minimum, procure orders from a wide range of vendors, maintain good vendor relations, and ensure overall customer satisfaction….
