Whats the scoop on Excise Tax?
All of our prices include any excise taxes that are applicable on the items we sell. If you use components to craft a rod which you plan to resell it becomes a new product and you will be required to collect excise tax on the selling price of the custom rod. A good accountant will be able to answer your questions in more depth regarding collecting excise taxes from your custom rod customers. What if an item on my order is out of stock? We make every effort to fill your order 100%, but we stock thousands of items and occasionally either Merrick Tackle or one of the component manufacturer is out of stock on the items you need. When this happens we keep the item on backorder. Once it is in stock again, you will receive a call from us. At that time you can either select to have the item shipped, added to an order you may be placing with us or cancel. Once you are notified that the item is in stock your backorder will be cancelled.
