What’s the role of shelters, and food-banks for the homeless population?
Shelters are temporary solutions for homeless people to stay off the streets. They are usually mats on a floor or bunks in a ward or very small rooms in a congregate setting. Those who stay in shelters can only stay there for less than 30 days. The negative side effects of shelters are due to their crowdedness and place for those who suffer from addiction or mental illnesses.
