Whats the right PH for color treated hair products?
All products used on hair should normally be about 5.5 to 6.0 for best results. There are some products, like bleach and perms, that need to be a lot higher to do what it needs to do, and peroxide and lemon juice are very low to do what it does. The final thing used should be in the normal range to keep the hair in the best shape. Anything at pH 4.0 is quite acidic, and would have negative effect on the hair when used over time. Again, once in a while may be okay, as long as there is something that will counteract it used as well.
