WHATS THE RED SEA?
The Red Sea grossly separates Africa from the Middle East. The following countries possess an access to the Red Sea: Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Eritrea. The Red Sea extends to the north from Eilat -Israels southernmost city -until the Indian Ocean, to the south. It is separated from the Indian Ocean by a narrow passage, at which point its waters are relatively shallow (only about 100 ft deep). This means the Red Sea is a body of water that doesnt really communicate with the oceans to some extent. It creates unique conditions, and for this reason almost 30% of the fish species you’ll see there do not exist anywhere else! Since it borders a desertic region, the weather is almost invariably sunny! Summer temperatures can be well in excess of 105 degrees, while water temperatures are often in the mid 80s. Visibility is usually excellent and averages at least 60 ft most of the time. On some spots and good days it is not uncommon to have 100 ft visibility! Topside I think
