Whats the “Ready for Windows 2000” PC Program?

0

Microsoft has launched a Windows 2000 Ready PC program in conjunction with several hardware vendors (browse http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/ready). Systems sold under the Windows 2000-Ready program are, in fact, shipped with NT 4.0 Workstation, but meet the requirements of the new Designed for Windows logo–and are thus certified to run Win2000 when it’s released. If you’re planning a system upgrade this year, getting a Ready for Windows 2000 PC will assure that you can run Win2000 when it becomes available.
