Whats the purpose of the Root/Current button on the driveBar?
A. This buttons implements the functionality offered by the path descriptors “C:\” and “C:”, i.e. changing directory to the root or current drive of some device. When pressed, all drivebar buttons will take you to the root folder of the intended device, whereas if not, you’d get into the last folder you were browsing on that drive (current), whatever this may have been. Note that it is possible to have the current coincide with the root, e.g. for drives you haven’t browsed during some 2x session.
