Whats the purpose of the CSLC?
The Council was formed to enhance regular, on-going communication among the nations most knowledgeable and active national advocates of charter schools and to facilitate the coordination of their activities on behalf of the charter school movement and the parents and students it benefits. The organization will also encourage and support collaboration among its members and provide a forum for these leaders to jointly address policymakers and the media and interact with other charter school advocates. While each organization will continue to respond to its constituents and engage in independent action on its own slate of priorities, all share a common interest in creating a positive policy environment for the charter school movement and effectively and forcefully advocating for its success. Frequent joint action will facilitate both objectives.
