Whats the problem with Flash Sites?
Why aren’t “Flash” sites the answer to meeting the customer’s and the corporation’s expectations? The customer’s experience is dependent on the sophistication of his computer, the computer’s plug-ins, the capacity of the servers/co-location facilities, and the number of users on that site pulling information at any given time. The corporation loses because these cumbersome flash sites contain content that is not search engine friendly/indexable. A flash site on its own cannot be read by search engine web crawlers/spiders, and the methods used to “trick” search engines are frowned upon. Flash sites in reality are one tremendous page. This severely limits the amount of statistical information that can be automatically collected by the patterns and actions of Internet users.
