Whats the PCMCIA CAM slot for?
This was apparently an EEC requirement “for future expansion”. I understand that Pace developed a unit that plugged in to it and provided a digital audio output. The unit was demonstrated at an exhibition in London in (I think) 1999. It was never put into production and my guess is that BskyB stamped on it because it threatened SKY+ sales. So this expansion slot is currently (2008) not supported by software and has no useful function.
